The Japanese kid's furniture series HECMEC includes foldable chairs and tables that are made out of rasin and paper tubes- which can be adjusted and extended to follow up with the kid's growing up. It sounds like a win-win-win design: not only is it functional for many years but it is eco-friendly and teaches kids about the importance of recycling.
