This incredible crater is situated close to the town of Darvaz in Uzbekistan and the locals call it "The Door to Hell"... I think we can all see why. According to the info accompanying the video clip, it's been burning for the last 35 years fueled by undergroung gas. It used to be an underground cave which got unearthed when geologists were drilling for gas and their heavy equipment fell through the ground. They ignated it because there were some poisonous gasses (?) and it has been burning ever since...
